First grapes and kiwis Chile certificates with Rainforest Alliance

New stage in South America

The first six Rainforest Alliance Certified farms in Chile - covering more than 1,000 acres (433 hectares). There are grapes and kiwis grown sustainably for the market (imported by Dayka & Hackett in Reedley, California).

Drip irrigation systems, reforestation efforts and the use of solar energy are some of the measures used by environmentally conscious companies. In addition to its environmental contributions, on farms improve the living conditions of local communities providing workers and their families access to health and education. Each farm was audited by the Sustainable Agriculture Network, a partner in Ecuador SA Certified CYD Soon expand the scope of the network by opening an office in Chile.
